Yes, I have been to Woodstock

Or so I like to think. Describing my personal style will always be an impossible challenge - but if I had to choose my absolute favourite way to dress, it would of course be boho. I'll always be a hippy at heart. Thanks to long flowing skirts, my natural wavy afro and fetish for round sunglasses, I can try to pretend that my laziness and love for the  60's and 70's is actually me being achingly boho chic. Its not. Its just a weird obsession with the 60's and 70's.

Any number of my close friends could tell you how long I've been on the hunt for a long sleeve chiffon maxi dress with a V-neck and side slits. I like to think people just don't know how to design clothes I like (actually, I'm just extremely picky. On the verge of being OCD picky). Well, let me thrill you with the details of my latest love story. There I am, working away at Dotti, cleaning up the sale rack, when suddenly... what is that? That. Hiding at the back of the rack. Is it... it is. A long sleeve chiffon maxi dress with A V-neck and side slits. And what's that? Its $9.95? Are you serious? Is this some sort of joke? Am I being Punkd? Alas, there was no Ashton Kutcher to be seen - so I bought it and almost cried of happiness. I couldn't wait to wear it out on a beautiful spring day at the Botanic Gardens.

Cue 'It Must Be Love' by Madness, violins playing, angels circling overhead, etc.
I'm wearing a maxi dress from Dotti (duh), belt from Portmans, sandals from Sportsgirl, transparent clutch from Somethin Somethin, Miu Miu sunnies and Marc by Marc Jacobs watch.

'Till next time,
Kate x
