Autumn/Winter fashion season is well under way, with fashion weeks finishing up in New York and London and heading over to Milan and then Paris. The Autumn/Winter shows are always my favourite even though I am a summer baby at heart. Season-wise I love long sunny days at the beach, fashion-wise I love layer upon layer of Autumn/Winter style. If only wind din't exist and it never rained (somehow short hair can still manage to blow all up in my lipstick. It's a no from me).
With that all being said, I thought I'd share my AW 15/16 favourites so far with you guys. Low and behold:

If I had my way, bohemian style would be in every single season forever. Oh that's right, I do have my way, and so it is. In Kate world, anyway. This is why I forever look partly hippy (laziness is also a factor but we'll keep that on the DL). Embroidery! Earthy fall colours! Fringes! Oh my! Its like old school boho has actually grown up on the East Side and has a rich, glitzy edge. The ethnic prints remind me a lot of Valentino and we all know how much I will fangirl over anything Valentino forever.
Marchesa

Marchesa is similar to Valentino in that it will always be in my favourites. Always. Sorry. So, just keep in mind that this may be a little biased (how to be a journo 101). Really though, you have to agree with me - just look at those Gatsby vibes! I feel like I am Daisy Buchanan with Leo staring lovingly into my eyes. Did I say Leo? I meant Jay Gatsby, obviously. This show was by far my favourite for beauty trends. Plum lips, curled bobs, full brows and rockin' earrings? Yes please. I'm also a fan of anything that has gigantic flowers on it.

If you asked me to describe Prada in one phrase, it would be 'tacky fabulous'. Don't tell me that doesn't make sense. I always like things that are slightly tacky and Prada always does it in the most perfect way. Yes, I do need elbow length pink leather gloves. Yes, clearly OTT embellished brooches and hair pins are things I need in my wardrobe. Don't question me. Plus, we all know how much I love coordinates. Note: that coordinated leaf print set you bought off Peppermayo to wear with atrociously chunky white heels doesn't count. Sorry.

I nearly didn't include this collection as A) I'm not overly familiar with the brand and B) I actually 50% loved it and 50% hated it. However, I loved some parts enough to include it in my post. Especially that cow print. To be honest, without the cow print I don't think Proenza Schouler would have made it. We all know I'm a die hard weird print fan. The feathered detailing, charcoal wool and minimalistic colour scheme were added bonuses. Those fishnet leggings, ninja headbands and what I thought were rather unflattering cuts were what gave me Bipolar. A lot of hit and a lot of miss there - take what you want from it.

Yahs. YAHS. YAAAAHHHHSSSSSS. If everything from this collection could just appear in my (already packed to the absolute brim) wardrobe, I would be 100% content with life. A degree? Nah. A career? Nah. A family? Nah. Temperley London's AW 15/16 Collection for my very own? Hot damn yes. This and Burberry's collection are my #1 faves for the season, I'm calling it now. They're pretty similar - tribal/American Indian style prints and glammed up boho vibes. My favourite thing to do when dressing for Autumn is mixing textures, so this mash of sequins, fur, lace and embroidery just makes my life worth living. Time to bust out all my Autumn materials and start having a play.
Am I on point? Completely wrong? Have I missed any of your favourites? Let me know in the comments section (but don't try and tell me that the pinks in Prada didn't have you crying out in joy at your computer screen).
'Till next time,
Kate
